After travelling this summer, I decided to take a rather extended hiatus form this blog. This was mainly down to me feeling perhaps a lack of confidence in myself or maybe even getting a reality check. For me, this blog was a rather selfish venture in order to experiment and find my own personal style. As interesting I may have found it, I began to feel incredibly narrow minded simply posting pictures of what I wear. I've pretty much come to the conclusion that I don't need to pin my style down to a certain 'look'. I wear what I want, when I want and I don't really understand what drove me to feel as though I should be able to narrow my clothing choices down to a succinct lst of words! I dress according to mood and practicality, as well as finding ways to disguise the parts of me I'm not too fond of!
So why begin blogging again? Basically, I find few people who really want to discuss fashion in depth. I find myself spouting many an extended monologue about the insane shoes at Alexander McQueen or how sick I am of shoulder pads (does anyone else feel the same way?) so even if no one actually reads this, I can at least have some sort of outlet for my sartorial witterings!

Aw here it goes...
I'm presuming we've all had those conversations, reminiscing about our childhood. The ones that start with "do you remember watching/eating/play... etc". Well last night whilst browsing Surf the Channel for something to watch with the bf, I came across these beauties:
90's fashion at it's best. I'm talking cycling shorts, doc's, crop tops, SCRUNCHIES! Man I loved scrunchies. It would take some bangin' styling to bring the scrunchie back!
I've yet to try the full on 90's look myself. My legs look dumpy in doc's so they're out of the question. Clashing prints and stonewash denim however is a challenge I'm willing to face! Results to posted some time this week when I've actually started revising for my exam on Wednesday.

If we took a holiday...
The whole reason I'm torturing myself by avoiding any spending is for one sole reason. Nearly a whole month of bliss in Thailand! I've booked everything from trips to the River Kwai, to a beach side hotel for the full moon party. If anyone has any info or tips they can offer they would be much appreciated.
Being unable to splurge on clothing, I'm going to have to make do with what I've already got. Luckily I've been buying clothes for this trip since September so I'm relatively well-prepared. I've been throwing some things together on Polyvore that resemble what I already own to assess how well everything fits together. I'm pretty pleased with what I've got. It's not a hugely original mix of clothes but for travelling on a shoestring, I think it will do.

If I had the cash, this is how I would love to look lounging around on the beach smothered in factor 50 (and copious amounts of fake tan to look this bronzed)

If only, I'm extremely pasty and pale, don't tan and would probably suit a more retro look than a bronzed hippy goddess theme.
